Bocagrande is a very walkable neighborhood: Avenida San Martín and Avenida Primera (along the ocean) are home to much of the area’s businesses, so many restaurants, shops, and the beach itself are within walking distance from the apartment. For longer distances or to go to the Historic Center, the most convenient option is to take a taxi or use apps like InDrive or Didi, which are widely used in the city — the ride to the historic center takes about 10 to 15 minutes by car. Rafael Núñez International Airport is around 15-20 minutes away, making arrivals and departures hassle-free. If you prefer a relaxed exploration, you can also walk to Castillogrande and El Laguito, the neighboring districts, all connected by the same coastal avenue. In Cartagena, we do not recommend traditional public transportation for tourists; taxis or ride-hailing apps are always the safest and most comfortable option.
